okay i'm here with the awaited movie review of Spiderman 3...

on a whole.. i thud it was great show. i mean, with the addition to the original cast, and with the 3 villians, i cant help but say that the movie fitted very nicely.


sam raimi once said that the 1st movie was about Puberty and being a teen, showing how peter figured out his powers and see how he slowly morphed into the superhero.

the 2nd one was about being 18yrs old. peter starts seeing the difficulties of the real-world, jugglin b/w work, studies, relationships, auntmay and superhero duty. it's smth that alot of pple can relate to.. the stress, the pressure.. the feelin of giving up.

this 3rd one focus on adulthood. u see how he has learnt that balance in the things in his life. u see how his relationship is workin out fine and how spiderman has gained a certain amt of popularity within the country. but as a adult, it's always abt relationships. this movie focus alot on that area... in my opinion, abit too much. that's why it got abit draggy..

the battle scenes were gd. the way how venom was potrayed, was awesome. i dont mind being a Venom fan, if it aint for his teeth and weird tongue. the black spidey suit and venom's suit were thumbsup man.
i oso enjoyed how the black suit featured the weakness of spiderman. i mean it's cool to see ur superhero struggle, showing that apart from his web-slinging abilities, sticky hands/legs and under the red/blue suit, he's still Peter Parker. he's a human.

and the fact that peter struggled with relationship problems, choosing b/w gwen stacy and mary.jane. (i somehow prefer gwen stacy's smile)

to me.. spidey 3 shows the human side of a superhero. i totally like it.

but here for some flaws...
1) why is topher grace acting as Venom? venom is supposed to be more vicious and bigger size.. topher grace, who's from That 70's Show totally didnt fit that role. a comedian as venom? hmm..
2) how come sandman become so huge at the final battle? damn stupid lah..
3) the crane part was really cool, but seriously can the crane really be so darn accurate and hit gwen stacy and the ____th floor? hmm..

oh wells... it's still 8 outta 10 stars, i guess.. i still think it's worth watching, facing the fact that it's the last one. but by the looks of it, i doubt so... spidey 4 shud have more interesting villians.. heh, carnage? i dare the producers to use carnage. haha
